This bit of news is particularly interesting to me since I just recently tortured myself with a DVD rental of the first G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra. I was warned to stay away from the film beyond what professional movie critics were saying. “How bad could it be?” I thought. Well, it’s not the worst movie I’ve seen, but it’s certainly not something I enjoyed. To make matters worse, it was a long movie. It seemed to follow the Claimjumpers motto: If we can’t make it good, let’s make a lot of it. I’m just surprised Paramount thought the brand was worth investing in again.
