It’s always good practice to watch what you say — especially when you’re a high-profile individual on national television. Apparently, Oprah Winfrey’s comment about Lerato Nomvuyo Mzamane regarding her involvement in a scandal concerning the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa when Mzamane was the head mistress led to her unemployment for a full year.

“I trusted her,” Winfrey said of Mzamane during a meeting with parents. “When I appointed her, I thought she was passionate about the children of Africa . . . but I have been disappointed.”
