Solange Knowles recently had one of her first interviews for the August issue of Lucky Magazine, after keeping mum for so long about the much talked about elevator attack on Jay-Z in the Met Gala event in May. The elevator tape showed Solange attacking Jay-Z, while Beyoncé quietly looked on, barely responding to the happenings. Many sources say that the singer’s attack on Jay-Z was because he was getting a little too close with Rachel Roy, the fashion designer.
When Lucky Magazine quizzed her about the fight, Solange remained resilient, labeling the incident “that thing” and commenting that the more important takeaway is that she and her family are on good terms now. She says all that has to be said is in the joint statement that they released a couple of days after the footage leaked. She and her family have moved on from the event and everyone else must do the same as well. Beyoncé had even posted pictures of a family lunch on Instagram, as if to tell everyone that all was well between her husband and sister.
