Is Ithaca worth watching? Yes, but really only as a piece to study or as a fan of the source material.
There’s a sense that there’s more to this story than what audiences get to see, but so much was cut out for time that all that’s left is a disjointed puzzle.
Jason Statham and his brand of action will no doubt draw fans, but this is the kind of film that most viewers will discover on streaming services instead of the theater.
Jason Bourne has all of the appearances of a Bourne film, but it doesn’t have the same soul. And any fan will recognize that.
For everyone who wanted more insight into the Hero of the Hudson, this is all interesting. It’s just not exciting.
While the film is prototypical, it’s still engaging to the very end because of the strength of its cast, especially Gibson’s performance.
It’s not enough to simply present a Christian story and expect Christian audiences to support it.
The worst thing that can be said about this film is that it’s just not exciting, compelling, or memorable. But other than that, it’s fine!
Whatever this film is, it doesn’t feel like Star Trek. It also doesn’t feel exciting, no matter how much CGI litters the screen.
