Denzel Washington to Star in Paramount Pictures Flick ‘Flight’ Directed by Robert Zemeckis

History is being made as two Academy Award®-winners actor Denzel Washington and director Robert Zemeckis team up in the new film Flight for Paramount Pictures. The film will be produced by Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald under the Parkes/MacDonald production banner. Producing under the ImageMovers banner is Robert Zemeckis, Steve Starkey and Jack Rapke. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in Atlanta, GA this October.

Flight is written by John Gatins (“Dreamer: Inspired By a True Story,” “Real Steel”) and tells the story of a commercial airline piolt named Whip (Denzel Washington) who heroically saves 98 of his 106-passenger flight. In the aftermath, Whip is both embraced as an American hero and personally tormented by the new label as he endures the investigation regarding his actions the night before the flight.
