[column size=two_third position=last ]No official synopsis released on this one yet, but there certainly seems to be a lot going on. Our best guess is that Megatron is making a comeback, possibly as Galvatron — if the story tries to insert some lore from the cartoons — considering that giant gun a Transformer transforms into. Also, that giant dinosaur that comes crashing in is obviously a reference to Dinobots, just not what most fans of the cartoon will expect. As such, the film will probably be about how the Yeager family (headed by Mark Wahlberg) discover ancient Transformers that modeled themselves after ancient creatures that are now extinct, hence the title. Still not jazzed about sword-wielding Transformers, but that appears to be a convention that the film series isn’t going to ditch any time soon. It’s unclear what the two-headed dragon-looking Transformer is toward the end. Could it be one of the giant colossi Transformers that were built from smaller Transformers combining, like the Predacons? Or is just another creature created for the movies?
