No matter what the age, every child has had and will continue to have disagreements with their mothers. Sometimes it feels like life would be easier if moms just went away. In the upcoming film Mars Needs Moms presented by Walt Disney Pictures, nine-year-old Milo (Seth Green) will discover that he truly does need his mom (Joan Cusack) when she’s abducted by Martians who want to steal her mom-ness to nurture their own young. To save his mother, Milo is forced to stow away on the alien spacecraft, traverse the strange planet and team up with an underground earthman named Gribble (Dan Fogler) and a rebel Martian girl named Ki (Elisabeth Harnois). This wild adventure is presented in Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D.
Mars Needs Moms stars Seth Green, Dan Fogler, Elisabeth Harnois, Mindy Sterling, Kevin Cahoon and Joan Cusack and is directed by Simon Wells.
The film is based on the book written by Bloom County creator Berkeley Breathed, which was inspired by a disagreement between Breathed’s son Milo and his mother.
Mars Needs Moms will be in theaters on March 11, 2011.
